The series and movies are ruling the 20th Century world with their stories, graphics, animation, acting, music, and a lot more. The Ott’s are now more visited than the movie halls in general. Covid is one of the reasons. 

But other than that, people are more interested in watching web series compared to movies. Nod your head if you agree. Kidding! That will be an interesting discussion, but I will leave it for some other day. Let’s get going on the topic at hand. 

This particular series is based on a novel by Stephanie Danler. She was influenced by her time working on a cafe based on which she penned down the novel. The American drama is produced by Donna E. Bloom. To date, the show has 2 seasons with a total number of 14 episodes running for 28 to 29 mins each. Networked by Straz the series made its debut in 2018. And the second season returned back in 2019. 

The story without any doubt is beautifully written and so is the show. As it’s based on the novel of the same name, as I’ve mentioned earlier. The American series scored a rating of 7.1 from IMDb, 53% vote from Rotten Tomatoes, and 73% Audience upvote. Danler was successful in reaching the viewers with her narrative. The audience loved the series as it’s quite down to earth.

Sweetbitter Season 3 Release Date

I will tell you earlier on, this passage does not carry any positive news, and will not make you happy. But I can’t hide the truth and make you feel upset right? 

So, I think you might have guessed by my tone that Season 3 is not returning. The Hollywood Reporter shared the news not long back that the show was officially canceled by Starz, the original showrunners. 

The rating was quite low, the creators took a decision not to move further with the project. Since the show was left on a cliffhanger after the end of season 2. Many were expecting a comeback but unfortunately, there will be none. 

So, as per the official news, Season 2 is the final and last season of Sweetbitter. 

What Are the Chances for the Show to Return?

Not a few mins back I mentioned the show was officially canceled by the makers only.

But one of our sources heard that there is a slight chance of the show returning but it might be picked up by some other network. But the chances for that to happen will be a miracle taking place. Then again if the show’s view reaches its peak and the demand reaches the expectations of the producers and makers, there might be a slight chance of the show returning. And Straz himself may pick it up from where it left. 

And if that happens then if we follow the schedule of the previous season air, then Season 3 may release in October 2022. If that happens then no one will be more than happy than us, lovers of the show. Let’s wait and see how things take their turn from here forth.

Sweetbitter Season 2 Story

This season has 8 episodes. 

The series opens with Howard on a journey to learn the place of origin of the arrival of their food. He takes his staff alongside him. Whereas Tess learns some secrets which makes her question her trust on her others. 

Further, the series will explore Tess’s past and Sasha being accused of theft. From here onward the show will get really interesting and will follow a lot of incidents. Keep watching to get a glimpse of more drama.
