The comic-of-age, drama fantasy anime revolves around the world of anthropomorphic animals. An uneasy tension can be felt among the carnivores and herbivores. All the animals attend the Cherryton Academy together. But the harmony and peace get disturbed and the trust among the animals is tested when an Alpaca is brutally murdered. And what will happen when an herbivore falls in love with a carnivore, will this further add fuel among the animals?

There she meets Anzai, our vampire hero who immediately gets attracted to her.
Now as they both get drawn to each other they must control their lust and Anzai must also learn to live among the humans with her help. In this constant struggle of lust and bloodthirst will the two be able to keep their calm or will they give in to it.

2. Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki

Also known by the anime of Wolf Children. The anime runs for 1 hr and 57 mins. The movie is rated 8.60 by MAL and 8.1 by IMDb. Again, a must-watch anime for all fantasy and slice-of-life lovers. Directed and edited by Mamoru Hosoda and Shigeru Nishiyama, the movie made its debut in 2012.

3. Ookami to Koushinryou

This is again one of the fan favorites and most-watched anime of all time. Going by the name of Spice and the Wolf, the anime made its debut in 2008. Although the anime is quite old, it is worth your time. The anime has a total number of 13 episodes, 1 OVA, and 4 ONA’s as well. The adventure, fantasy romance runs for 24 mins each. The anime is rated 8.24 by MAL and an 8 by IMDb.
The journey following love, life, and business will stir your interest and make you watch this anime again and again. Holo, a powerful wolf deity was respected and worshipped by the villagers but with passing years she remained a myth as people forgot about her. Sometime later she meets Lawrance, a hardworking merchant. The duo decides to travel together as Holo promises to help him escalate his business and also fulfill his wish of opening his own shop.
Slowly this business deal turns into something, more than a business to romance. With witty dialogues and sharp humor and understanding of a wolf’s and a human’s feeling from each of their perspectives, will surely throb your heart. Watch this historical anime series on Netflix.

4. Monster

The anime came out in 2004 and completed its airing of 74 episodes in 2005. Adapted from a manga, the mystery suspense runs for 24 mins each. Rated 8.7 by IMDb and 8.81 by MAL; this is one of the top-rated anime of all time.
Monster is the name of a famous neurosurgeon, Dr. Kenzou Tenma. He following his hypocritical oath saved the life of a boy over a mayor. But this decision would not earn him long-term praise but would destroy his life and the past will haunt him through and throughout was not known to him. When this boy whose life he saved years back becomes a criminal what will he do?
He must learn from this mistake by saving the life of the boy and the havoc he creates. Watch this anime on Viz Media or Amazon or even on Netflix.
5. Koe no Katachi

Also known by the name of The Silent Voice. The movie will make you cry, sob, cause heartbreak but at the end of the day make you binge-watch this again and again. Again, a top-rated movie with an 8.2 rating from IMDb and 8.96 from MAL.
Even today the anime hits me and I go through an emotional roller coaster as I stream this. Premiering in September 2016, the movie runtime is 2 hrs and 10 mins.
Shouya is a lively boy who enjoys his high school life to the fullest. One day a deaf girl transfers into his section. In order to kill his boredom, he along with his classmates bully her so badly that she leaves school and her mother complains about them to the school faculty.
But when the entire fault lands on the section, he only becomes the victim as the whole blame falls on him. Now ostracised by the teachers and his classmates, now in the third year of high school, he actually regrets his past wrongdoings.

6. Murenase! Seton Gakuen

Seton Academy: Join the Pack! With a total number of 12 episodes running for 23 mins each. The anime made its debut in 2020. Adapted from the manga, the comedy-drama is rated 7.01 by MAL and 6.7 by IMDb. Directed by Hiroshi Ikehata the anime also has an OVA.
Seton Academy is a school for all creatures but only some humans. Here animals and humans study together. Among the few other humans, Jin is a guy who vehemently hates and can’t stand the sight of animals. But he is suddenly confronted by a lone wolf-girl who is basically an Omega.
She tries her level best to include Jin in her pack but to her best effort Jin refuses all her requests. Now Jin and another human girl opened a cooking club which was joined by Ranka at first. 7. Bakemono no Ko

The Boy and the Beat is another animal anime. The anime is rated 7.6 by IMDb and 8.29 by MAL. The movie is another must watcher which won quite a few awards along with being one of the most-watched movies of all time. The 2015 anime runs for 1 hr and 59 mins. Did you watch this? No, then hurry!!!
Ren is a nine years old boy with no family, friends, or life goals. With no place to go, he suddenly stumbles along an unknown road led by Kumatetsu, thus leading him to an animal realm. For Kumatetsu he is the perfect fit for the Lord of the realm. Now one with a goal and another in the need of a home; makes a deal to help each other. Are a boy and a beast an unnatural and unlikely alley? Or do they have more commonalities than they initially thought of? And will they become more in need of each other before they themselves realize?

8. Shirokuma Cafe

Oh, I almost forgot about this one. Polar Bear’s Cafe made its debut in 2012. With a total number of 50 episodes, the runtime is 24 mins each. Rated 8.1 by IMDb, 7.91 by MAL the slice of life comedy josei gained huge popularity. Now, let’s get into the plot.
The animals are working together in a zoo, relaxing in Bear’s Cafe after their hard work. Together with a peculiar group of animals coming together; they camp out, spend time brewing coffee, singing together and you will have a fun time watching.

9. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the anime has only 1 season. With a total number of 12 episodes, the runtime is 24 mins each. IMDb has rated 8.3 and 8.36 my MAL the anime is a must binge-watcher for all. The series made its debut in 2011. The psychological drama is full of suspense.
The story follows a girl who is granted a wish by a cat. The cat offers the wish of turning her into a magician but behind the wish lies trouble that remains uncovered until later. Will they be able to fulfill their newly given duty to fight the witches?

A Centaur’s Life follows the life of high school students. Himeno is a sweet but shy girl. Her world contains only magical creatures with tails, horns, wings, halos, and other features. This anime series follows the life of Himeno and her friends along with high school life problems, fun, laughter, and reality.
Running for 23 mins each the series has only 1 season with 12 episodes. The summer anime made its debut in 2017. The anime rated 6.45 by MAL and 5.5 by IMDb, is available on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
11. Chirin no Suzu

The 1978 movie also known by the name of Ringing Bell has a runtime of 47 mins. The action-adventure fantasy anime is rated 7.07 by MAL and 7.1 by IMDb.
This is actually quite a sweet movie yet is quite down to earth as in, the story sends an important message in the endnote. The movie follows the life of an innocent lamb who learns about the hardship of life and the life and death situation in general. When he starts a journey to seek revenge when his mother is slaughtered by a wolf.

12. Africa no Salaryman

And certainly, the last anime show on today’s list. Africa Salesman tells us the story of the three workers in a Japanese Company. The trio is a lion, a lizard, and a toucan who have left their life in the jungles of Savana and started working as workers and they meet in the same company. The series highlights Capitalist society through the lives of the animals. This shows how not only there, but also their customers’ lives get affected, where the vitality of life is freedom.
