Beowulf Season 1 Story

Beowulf is an Anglo-Saxon epic poem written in England during the late 10th century by an unidentified scop (storyteller). The poem is about Hrothgar, the Danes’ ruler, and his battles with Grendel, a monster who attacks his hall every night. The poem has been adapted into a variety of mediums, including opera, ballet, and a successful American television series, and has been translated into a number of languages. The story is set in Scandinavia during the time of Scyld Scefing and his son Scefrod, who are known as Scyld Scefing and Hrolf Kraki. The incidents take place prior to Saint Ansgar’s Christianization of the area in 865 AD.

I’d always thought he was a fascinating and forward-thinking director.
