Blood Lad Season 2 Release Date And Everything!

Blood Lad, also known as Buraddo Radio in Japanese, is one of those anime television series that, despite being one of the best in its genre, has kept fans waiting for far too long. Yuuki Kodama wrote and illustrated the dark comedy fantasy anime television series, which is based on a manga series of the same name.

The manga series was first published on September 4, 2009, and it ran for a total of 17 volumes until September 3, 2016. Soon after, the manga was picked up for adaptation into an anime television series, and the first season of ‘Blood Lad’ aired on July 8, 2013.

After season 1, the show was a huge success, and on December 4, 2013, an original video animation (OVA) episode was released, leaving fans begging for season 2. Fans are eagerly awaiting season 2 of ‘Blood Lad,’ and here’s everything we know about whether or not there will be another season of this fantastic show.

Fans are desperate to know about any news on season 2. So let’s see if there is any hope or not.

The first season premiered on July 8, 2013, and lasted until September 8, 2013. Following the conclusion of Season 1, an OVA episode titled ‘Blood Lad: Wagahai wa Neko de wa Nai’ was released on December 3, 2013. Even though it has been eight years, fans do not want to give up hope for a second season, despite the fact that it takes a maximum of five years for a show to be renewed, and it has already been eight years since it first appeared.

However, no matter how slim the chances of a second season appear, there are some factors to consider before giving up hope entirely. To begin with, it is important to note that the original manga series consists of seventeen volumes and 85 chapters. The TV adaptation, on the other hand, has only ten episodes plus an OVA.

There is clearly enough source material for a television adaptation. Regrettably, the manga ended in December of 2016. Even so, we can hope that Brain’s Base will choose one more season of the series. The second possibility is that the first season did poorly in terms of numbers.

The anime television series received a rating of 7.29/10 from 315,546 votes on MyAnimeList and a rating of 7.1/10 from 1863 votes on IMDb. Analyzing the numbers, it wouldn’t be surprising to believe that ‘Blood Lad’ performed exceptionally well and scored high overall, providing yet another reason for producers to consider making the sequel.

Blood Lad Season 2 Story

Blood Lad Season 2 Release Date

If you haven’t seen the first season, ‘Blood Lad’ is about a surreal world where demons live, and the story revolves around Staz Charlie Blood, a Vampire. Staz is not your typical vampire who drinks human blood like his ancestors and lives the life of an ‘Otaku.’

In Japanese, the term denotes someone who is obsessed with Anime, Manga, and high-tech gadgets. Staz is the leader and one of the bosses of the gangs in this world, which are various demon gangs. One day, by chance, a human girl named Fuyumi Yanagi entered the demon world through a portal, causing Staz to become overjoyed at the presence of a human being in their world.

They both meet for the first time, but only for a short time. Staz was always there to protect her from her enemies. However, it was difficult for a human to survive in a world of vampires, so Fuyumi dies after being eaten up by a carnivorous plant and transforms into a Ghost. Staz was emotionally broken as a result of this, and he accepts responsibility for bringing her back to life.

Staz and Fuyumi then enter the human world, where she begins to fade away, and in order to save her, Staz forces her to drink his blood, transforming her into a half-vampire. As she fades away, Staz continues to save her life and bring her back to life by struggling and fighting the demon in the demon world. Finally, both of them find themselves fighting an evil creature known as Akim.
