Story of ‘Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card’ Season 2

After more than two decades as a fixture for anime viewers, Cardcaptor Sakura’s next chapter, Clear Card, was both written as a manga and adapted as an anime in 2016 and 2018, respectively. An enormous disclaimer accompanied the highly acclaimed anime Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card: it ended on a cliffhanger then vanished.

The show ended after 22 episodes, and for a while we were unsure of when or if it will return. Fans who have been waiting for the series’ conclusion for five years are in luck because we have some positive news at last.

Recap of ‘Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card’ Season 1

Ten years after the events of the first Cardcaptor Sakura series, the story of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card takes place. The fictitious Japanese city of Tomoeda is home to the characters. It tells the tale of Sakura Kinomoto, a ten-year-old who began collecting these enigmatic and mystical cards known as Clow Cards. When she turns the cards into Sakura Cards, they give her enormous magical abilities. This entire sequence of events is the sequel’s background, having occurred in the first series.

When Sakura Kinomoto appears in this series, she is older and, along with her friends and lover Syaoran, is beginning junior high school. Sakura has a significantly different life than that of a typical junior in high school. Sakura’s life is altered when she encounters a dream that is prophetic. In her dream, she sees a mysterious creature wearing a robe; upon waking, she discovers that all of her Sakura cards have become blank, rendering them entirely useless.

Sakura is a person who never gives up. To find out what’s wrong, she embarks on a magical adventure with her guardians and pals. Two of her old pals from the first season are Cerberus and Yue. Sakura returns to her former role as a Cardcaptor, this time with a more sturdy crew. With the assistance of her pals, she tracks down the things.

Her quest is not as simple as it first appears, though. She doesn’t know anything about a formidable foe who, if he manages to obtain all the cards, would use their combined might to seriously endanger the entire globe. Sakura needs to keep one step ahead of him in order to complete her mission.
