The anime is adapted from a manga illustrated by none other than Taku Kuwabara. Later it was serialized and the anime adaptation was released in 2020. The anime has a total of 12 episodes as of yet. The runtime of each episode is 23 mins.
Rated a 6 by IMDb and a 7 by My Anime List (MAL), the adventure, fantasy, sheinen animation is produced by Polygon Studios.

Drifting Dragons Season 2 Release Date
First and foremost, we all know that the serialization of anime really takes a lot of time. Another thing is the material source for an anime to release new seasons. More volumes of the manga are needed to publish as new stories and added characters extend the plot and hence the houses will be able to produce the animation without a hitch.
All of these above criteria were met. The manga released 11 volumes in total and is still releasing more. The mangas too are being brought like sweet potatoes. But there lies a problem. The season 2 release date shows no news.
So, the citizens of Japan got to have a view of the first season in January. But unfortunately, the season was not released outside of Japan till April 2020. So the fans got to stream the show only after 2 months of its release.
Netflix only has season 1 streaming on its website but the next season has no updates as of yet. We are hoping that the rights will be shared and the new season will be soon available in the OOTs for the fans to stream.
Like you all, we are assuming that season 2 might air by the end of 2022 or by early 2023. Since there are no updates or official news from them, we can only pray. But with the constant release of new volumes, we can surely hope for a new season soon.

Drifting Dragons Season 2 Expected Story
The new season trailer or clips or even the story is unheard of. Our sources are working to gather the facts and info for you all. But we couldn’t get our hands into anything. But you can definitely go back and read the manga as you wait for the season to have a comeback.
