Brandy Norwood was born on the 11th of February in Mississippi. Her middle name is Rayana. Brandy’s father is Willie Norwood, a gospel singer and choir director while her mother is Sonja Norwood, who worked as a district manager. Brandy has been musically influenced since she was born. Her home itself is filled with musically involved people, for example, her father. She is also related to Snoop Dogg (cousin).
While she was only two years old, she started singing in the local church as her father worked in it. At the age of 4, her family moved to California. There she attended the Hollywood High Performing Arts Centre. And at the age of 7, Brandy got more into music after she started listening to Whitney Houston. But they have never been married even though Brandy mentioned she had later she revealed that they were not.
