After fleeing from Medellín, Colombia, to escape her abusive husband, she leverages her ambition and astute business acumen to thrive in the cocaine trade.

As for the potential episodes of Griselda Season 2, Season 1 consists of six episodes. The series Griselda was initially intended for one season only, thus no episode list is available for a second season. Each episode runs for 1 hour, providing an in-depth portrayal of Griselda Blanco’s life.

Griselda Season One Conclusion and Griselda Season 2 release date

As anyone who has completed Griselda season one knows, a second season is unlikely due to Griselda Blanco’s demise at the end of the season. The series portrays her imprisonment for seven years for various crimes, including the murder of Dario Sepulveda, with former Miami police officer June Hawkins visiting her towards the end of her sentence. In the final scenes, Griselda, with greying hair, learns of the murders of all three of her sons. The epilogue reveals her return to Medellín, Colombia, after her release from prison and her eventual murder in 2012 at the age of 69.

Additionally, the series was commissioned as a limited series, indicating its intended status as a one-off production. While this doesn’t necessarily preclude the possibility of a follow-up, it strongly suggests the creators’ original intentions and aligns with Netflix’s typical approach to limited series.

In an interview with ScreenRant, director Andrés Baiz discussed their decision to conclude with a final scene of Griselda in prison, stating, “I found that this finale was much more tragic. She’s now alone in prison, but emotionally, she’s devastated. Her sons are not there anymore. We thought that was much more tragic and that we could design something that was much more, I would say, poetic or different.
