Is Pieck Dead or Alive in Attack on Titan Season 4?

Following the attack on Liberio, in which Eren captures and eats the host of the War Hammer Titan, the Marleyan military suffers a second blow when the Eldians also capture Zeke. Pieck’s Cart Titan and Galliard’s Jaw Titan, accompanied by Reiner’s Armored Titan, have to shoulder all of the obligations of Marleyan military achievements after that, despite the fact that he meant to return to Paradis Island on his own. Since then, Pieck has been on the front lines, and in season 4 episode 16, she even takes the risk of seeming to conspire with Eren in order to expose her countrymen’s views. When Galliard’s Jaw Titan fights Eren, the scheme backfires, and not only do they fail to capture the Founding Titan, but Pieck also loses her hand. It simply goes to show what kind of chances the Cart Titan’s holder has been taking recently, and ‘Attack on Titan’ season 4 episode 18 is no exception. Is Pieck going to make it through the savage battle between the Marlyeans and the Eldians? This is what we know so far. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Attack on Titan

In the episode named ‘Sneak Attack,’ of Attack On Titan, Pieck Finger does not perish. The Cart Titan, together with the Jaw and Armored Titans, realize they only have one more chance to capture the Founding Titan when the Marleyans surprise the Eldians with an unexpected onslaught following the destruction of Liberio. While Galliard and Reiner engage Eren in a full-fledged battle, Pieck’s Titan, with the help of General Magath, prepares to launch the Anti-Titan Mobile Artillery from the walls. She doesn’t have to wait long because she joins in on the fight just a few moments after the Founding Titan strikes the Jaw and Armored Titans. As Eren is cornered, the three’s combined efforts look to be working. Unfortunately for the Marleyans, this strength disparity does not last long, as they are soon attacked by Zeke’s Beast Titan. He takes out Galliard, Reiner, and all of the planes that were intended to be utilized for their evacuation once they complete the mission in a matter of seconds. As the Founding Titan approaches Zeke, it appears like all hope is lost for them. When the Beast Titan sees Pieck’s Cart Titan’s carcass, he assumes, like the Yaegerists, that she has finally been killed. To everyone’s amazement, General Magath, who is in charge of the Anti-Titan Mobile Artillery, unexpectedly moves the launcher towards the Beast Titan and strikes it around the nape with a powerful blow. The Eldians sense the tension as the Titan falls from the top of the Wall, while the Marleyans can finally see some hope for themselves.

But why was General Magath’s life spared if Pieck’s Cart Titan was killed? Didn’t the Yaegerists realize that with the Anti-Titan Mobile Artillery at his disposal, he could be dangerous? Pieck’s Titan, it turns out, was never slain in the first place, and she simply left the Titan’s carcass behind to make it appear as if she had died. It was crucial later on, as the elated Yaegerists and Zeke failed to notice the peril that was staring them in the face. Magath took advantage of a brief window of opportunity to carry out the aforementioned attack, while Pieck, who was no longer in her Titan form, hid beneath the table and watched the scene unfold.
