The show is set in to the era of 1980s where Fabietoo is young. He lives with his parents, Saverio Schisa and Maria Schisa in Naples. He likes to be alone and does not have any friends or a lover. He wishes to study Philosophy as his subject in college. He is enjoying his own company while listening music when his brother takes him to acting auditions. In the meanwhile, a tragedy strikes the family and everything is changed now.

This incident affected him so badly but according to him, “This gave him an idea for the future and he would never become a filmmaker if this did not happen”. He returned to his native town after 37 years just for this movie. So yes, it is based on the true story of Sorrentino and this movie is kind of a work of biography.
