Megalo Box Recap
The plots of Megalo Box are carried out in a similar set of a metropolis area called ‘Administrative Area’. The world of Megalo Box has string discrimination among their citizens because only those living in the Administrative are licensed, citizens. The outcasts seem to live in the ‘Restricted Area’ that is on the outskirts and slum area of the town. Megalo Boxing is a hyped activity in both areas. This is similar to normal boxing; the only notable addition is the sporting of extra accessories like an exoskeleton. This makes the fights more dangerous and powerful. The plot revolves around adventurous fights and commendable boxers in the Megalo Boxing universe. One of the prominent fights is Joe or Junk Dog whose narrative takes the story forward.

The first major character is a strong and inspiring personality called Joe who has been voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya in Japanese and Kaiji Tang in English. He is shown to be an underground boxer who was living on the outskirts of the city. Unfortunately, he had no other scope but to fight as a boxer since that was his easiest means to make money which he was in dire need of. In the second season, he had the title of ‘Moniker’. Even in the second season, he fought for money again but this time his reason was different. In the second season, his reason was to get money for painkiller addiction. The second significant character was Gansaku Nanbu who was given vocals by Shirō Saitō in Japanese and Jason Marnocha in English. He was the manager, coach, and gambler of Joe. Even though he coerced Joe into the boxing fights, he had a strong faith in his potential. The character portraying the role of Megaboxing champion was Yuri who was voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto in Japanese and Lex Lang in English.
