The Festival of Troubadours Review: Turkish Movie Gives A HeartBreaking Journey!

Father- Son relationship movies are not something uncommon. We have watched many movies that describe different relationships between a father and a son. The Festival of Troubadours just like them is based on such kind of relationship, but, hold on, there’s a twist to the movie when the music got added. The Festival of Troubadours has just streamed on Netflix. The movie is something you will definitely hold on to until the end, as you will want to know what happens at the end. Movies do not have many dialogues in it, but the silence factor in the movie made them more interesting. The Festival of Troubadours revolves around Whimsy Ali ( The Father) and Yusuf (His son). They both have not met each other for 25 years, but when they meet things take unexpected turns which led to Yusuf’s heartbreak. So, if you are also wondering whether or not you should watch the movie then here’s a small and simple The Festival of Troubadours Review for you to read.

Yusuf, Whimsy Ali’s Son, Criminal Lawyer By Profession

To give a genuine review, The Festival of Troubadours will get a rating of 6 out of 10. The movie is no doubt good, but the story is something we have seen many times and there’s nothing special about it. The most important thing that made the movie good was the Turkish folk music, which you will listen to many times in the film. The music created is so fulfilling to the ears that you just get yourself into it. The musicians are so fantastic that you are going to get hooked up with Turkish folk songs. In addition to this, though the movie is slow and boring in some places, it will keep you hooked up until the end.

The one thing I did not like about the movie is extending it. The movie could be of duration one hour only but was about 2 hours. The movie could be more better if it was of a little span, as for most of the scenes you will see them traveling with no dialogue in it which went kind of boring. The best part of the movie was the ending as it lead to heartbreak and it definitely felt like it. The Father character of the movie was excellent, he has done a good job in the entire movie.

Talking about the rest of the things, the scenes were quite normal, there was nothing special. Everything else seemed simple too. If you are looking for a one-time watch movie, you can give that a try, but if you are not into movies which has simple cinematic and a relationship explained, the movie is not made for you. The Festival of Troubadours could be a must-watch for those who can handle 30 minutes of scenes with no talking or dialogues at all. We usually do not prefer movies with such a long story with fewer dialogues (Well, Joker is an exception).

Overall, the movie is a one-time watch only.
