Let’s bring this sweet yet mysterious anime back to everyone. Tonikawa, also known as Fly Me to the Moon is a Japanese animation that is bringing up the heat among anime fans. The anime is based on a manga series of the same name. The manga series is written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hara. The manga was first released in the year 2018 and was also part of the Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday.
The manga tells us about the boy who is saved by a girl and eventually marries her. The plot is fresh, keeping the old rom-com alive and adding a bit of sci-fi in the plot. The anime adaptation by Seven Arcs aired the series from October to December 2020. The manga is licensed by Viz Media whereas the anime is licensed by Crunchyroll where it is also available to international fans. The manga consists of 19 volumes released from February 14th, 2018 to date. The anime projects the plot that the anime holds and has been released for one season. The creators have announced the release of the second season of the anime.

Her Appearance And Her Relation with Nasa Yuzaki
The plot somehow starts after she meets Nasa Yuzaki for the first time. She is shown as someone with no particular background history. The night she met Nasa, from Nasa’s perspective, Tsukuyomi is described as a beautiful girl with a pretty face and appearance. Her long hair is an eye-catching shade of pink. Her appearance gives elegant vibes that show very much about her general behavior.
She saves Nasa from an accident. Nasa confesses to her right away about his hasty feelings. She accepts to be his lover but she also asks him to marry her in return. From that moment, she mysteriously disappears. Yet she comes back in front of Nasa’s doorsteps in a bride’s attire and asks Nasa to keep his promise. He takes her as his wife and keeps his promise.
Her Personality and Hobbies
Tsukasa Tsukuyomi is also shown as someone who is quite calm and cool-headed in general. Her behavior is considered levelled in some drastic situations. She is quiet and beautiful holding the factors that make you fall for her. But as we get more into the series, we get to see a very unusual side of her. That calm and cool-headed girl is very clumsy. She is shy and blushes very fast when she hears Nasa confessing his love to her which is every day or saying how cute she is.
Tsukasa Tsukuyomi is just like other girls that are very possessive of their husbands or their lovers. Her love for her husband is immense which is quite visible in the series. She gets jealous when she sees Nasa interacting with other girls. Nasa’s parents immediately take a liking to her. They thank her to save their son and loving him so. They bless her and her marriage and ask her to be happy forever. Tsukasa is also shown as a person who has a huge liking for movies, animes, manga and other pop cultures. She enjoys her time when she reads the mangas and almost whines to Nasa for not having a television in their apartment. She generally remains ignorant of how to use the money on essentials. She usually spends money on manga and other entertainment forms. Apart from this, she is also described to be someone who knows a lot about Japanese history.
Her True Identity
But the story is rather strange. Because to some extent, we still do not know the girl and her whereabouts. She stays mysterious till we get to know her real story. In the tale of the Bamboo Cutter, Kaguya-Hime gave the emperor the elixir of immortality before her forcible return to the moon. Kaguya gave him the jar of elixir in hope that they get to meet again in future.
However, the emperor refuses and gives the jar to one of his trusted men and asks him to burn the jar. The man, however, disobeys the emperor and uses the elixir on his daughter who was on the verge to die. The daughter is said to be Tsukasa.

She leaves Japan for many years with her new life and returns to a ruined land after World War II. She takes in a girl, Tokiko Tsukuyomi. Tsukasa ends up telling her who she was and they live together as Tokiko promising her to help her fulfil her dream. Tsukasa takes the name Tsukuyomi from her as they become a family together.
The story proceeds and we get to know more about her and her life ahead with Nasa. This pure-hearted girl holds the whole gist of the series which is yet to unfold.
Tonikawa Story
The story starts when Nasa Yuzaki finds a mysterious girl at a bus stop. Nasa Yuzaki is a boy with a very unique name. Most people think that he is named after the American space station, NASA while his parents only named him Nasa which means “Starry Sky”. However, Nasa manages to fall for the girl at first sight. The girl’s description is said to be very beautiful with long pink hair and nice pinkish-red eyes. The boy seems to follow her when she starts to leave the stop. Nasa tries to confess his feelings for her just then he gets into an accident.
The mysterious girl, Tsukasa Tsukuyomi, saves him from the accident. Nasa, after recovering from the incident, confesses his love to the girl. The girl accepts but on a condition. The condition says that he must marry her if he loves her. Nasa, at the current age of 15, promises her that he will marry him in future.

After three years since that night, Nasa grows into an adult and owns his apartment. While he was minding his own business, he finds Tsukasa at his doorsteps, standing in front of him in wedding attire with all the necessary documents for their marriage. Nasa keeps his promise and marries her and they live in his apartment.
The story faces more and more obstacles as it proceeds. The genres romantic comedy, science fiction and a slice of life fit in very well making the entire anime enjoyable and amusing to watch. This sweet life of Nasa and Tsukasa continues as we get a new episode and a new season for the continuation of the series.
