Wind Breaker Episode 2 Recap

In Wind Breaker episode 2, Sakura visited Kotoha’s shop and met his fellow Furin High peer, Akihiko Nirei. The two acquainted themselves, with Nirei expressing curiosity about Sakura’s motives for moving there. After learning Sakura’s goal, Nirei advised him not to pursue unattainable ambitions. Sakura attempted to confront Nirei, but Nirei left to patrol the town before school. Kotoha warned Sakura not to judge Nirei solely based on one encounter. Sakura interpreted this as implying Nirei’s proficiency in combat. Later, Sakura intervened when Nirei was threatened by hooligans, leading Nirei to confide that he came to Furin to become stronger like the boy who once saved him.

They then proceeded to school, where the entrance ceremony had ended, and they found out they were classmates. Nirei expressed concern upon seeing another name on the class list, urging Sakura to behave in their new classroom. The episode concluded by introducing Suo Hayato, Tsugeura Taiga, Kiryu Mitsuki, and Kyotaru Sugishita, hinting at a potential confrontation between Sakura and Sugishita in the next instalment.

Episode 3 Spoiler

With Furin High’s first semester fully underway, Wind Breaker Episode 3 is expected to open with the brewing conflict between Sakura and Sugishita. However, an upperclassman or teacher probably intervenes, halting the altercation. Fans are also likely to discover whether Furin High operates as a legitimate high school. Assuming it does, episode 3 will likely delve into Sakura’s academic struggles, shedding light on why he turned to fighting and delinquency. Haruka Sakura desires nothing to do with weaklings. He is solely focused on becoming the strongest. His journey begins at Furin High School, renowned for its brawling strength and populated by degenerates. Despite their reputation, the students use their strength to protect their town from any threats. Haruka harbours no aspirations of heroism or teamwork; his sole ambition is to fight his way to the pinnacle.

Moreover, viewers can anticipate Sakura and Nirei expanding their social circle by meeting other classmates, thus forming the core group of friends who will drive the events of the first season.
